Mysteries of Photoshop Revealed:

Panoramic Photography Tips

By Bigfoot, Photographer and Philosopher

As part of the new HBS series, "Mysteries of Photoshop" we have invited a special guest, Bigfoot, to help shed light on a highly misunderstood art form: panoramic photography...

click to view Bigfoot masterpiece panorama thingy!

portrait of Bigfoot, artist and poetHi there, me Bigfoot. You know people try take Bigfoot photo. But you did not maybe know me take photos, too. I pretty good actually. No Ansel Adams, but better than squirrel.

See buildings up there? Try click it. Huh? Bigfoot get maybe seven or five different photos, do File > Automate > Photomerge... and funny magic happen. All seven or five stuck together. Make one big one with funny buildings! Bigfoot lazy.

Bigfoot give five more tips free! Drop food in woods if enjoy.

1. No use tripod thingy. Stupid idea. No crazy photo that way. Not believable.

2. No take animal pictures without ask first. Rude!

3. If in woods, wait for sun gone. No light makes secret black photo. Don't tell what really there, heh heh.

4. Shhhhhh... quiet for panorama... Quiet!!!

5. Where everyone go? Me take self portrait.

Ugh, that all for Bigfoot now. Hungry... going for squirrel sandwich.

Next week's mystery revealed: How and when to use the black censor bar.

Friday Fun-Time Links

Finally, you've gotten to the links. Now you can kick back and enjoy some nonsense...

  • There, I fixed it - Brilliant website. There are so many great ideas found here! Take your time and enjoy the geniusness. Go ahead, try not to laugh.
  • Rocket powered bike - Hard to tell if this is even real or not, but the best part is reading the roughly translated Japanese text description.
  • World's 2nd largest aquarium - Simply mesmerizing video. Best in full screen mode (you may have to let it load a while for smooth playback, though).
  • Disappearing car - Design student paints car to blend in with surroundings... then probably loses keys.
  • Star Wars cantina song, a cappella - These must be some tough dudes.
