This fun series of illustrations is the visual component of an effort to communicate friendly but essential pet guidelines in Florida State Parks. The Florida State Parks division of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection chose to highlight seven primary areas of concern, enlisting Ben S. Johnson to turn rough concepts into detailed illustrations. The final result is a light-hearted approach that invites awareness to regulatory issues.
After developing the concepts through a series of hand drawn sketches, each illustration was delivered in line art and full color versions. Layered illustrations were also delivered in multiple file formats, including scalable vector and high resolution jpg files, convenient to apply to either web or print media.
So, the next time you take your pet dog, cat, monkey or parrot for a adventure in a Florida State Park, look for the fun-but-educational "Pet Rules" illustrations on display!
