Nathan Wood Johnson

Nate earned his Bachelor's of Design from the University of Florida, and a Master's of Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology. After working at Architecture firms in Tallahassee and New York, Nate is currently employed at PFVS Architects in Atlanta. When he's not in the office, he enthusiastically spends the rest of his time at the HOUSEBOATSTUDIO workshop, creating new and imaginative designs. His unique design style bridges the gap between Architecture and Furniture, emphasizing the details of mechanical principles, sustainable materials and innovative joinery. Nate's interest in craftsmanship, structure and design began in earnest with his joy of Legos. Now, his formal training and experience in architecture translates into sophistication and proportional beauty in his furniture design.
